NFL EV Results: Our Betting Tools Have Over 6% ROI This Year
Here are EV results for all bets with OS Ratings of at least 2 and a timeframe of 48 hours before kickoff. Other than those filters, this includes data from all sportsbooks, EV ranges, odds ranges and expected win ranges:
That’s not bad — 6.3% ROI on all of these bets is darn good, and two individual markets return positively as well. That’s a $16,093 profit this year if you tailed everything single one at the recommended bet size. Let’s say we reduce that to 12 hours, however, to make things look even brighter:
Now as we get a little closer to kickoff, our returns are even better. Keep in mind that the sample sizes are a little smaller now, but overall that 11.9% ROI is extremely strong. With the power of compounding returns, you could potentially turn a smaller bankroll into thousands of dollars at 11.9% ROI.
This timeframe adjustment also brought total receptions props from slightly negative to the best NFL market in terms of ROI. Rushing yards got even more negative, on the other hand. This goes to show that monitoring when to make bets and adjusting portfolios accordingly can be as useful to you as simply knowing which markets are generally more profitable than others.
Let’s take a look at which sportsbooks are giving us the best EV results this NFL season to date. These results also use a 12-hour timeframe and minimum OS Rating of 2:
As has been the case with NBA, most sportsbooks are largely offering positive ROI when you can find those passable OS Ratings. That said, sportsbooks are delivering vastly different ROI results, including the number of bets that fit into this OS Rating range.
Take BetMGM, for example. It has an incredible 47.8% ROI on bets with an OS Rating of 2 placed 12 hours before kickoff. That’s a great return, but it only comes on 33 total bets. Then there is Fanatics, which has 114 such bets but a more modest 4.8% ROI.
So as always, shopping odds and placing bets en masse is the best way to guarantee profitability long-term. Even that 4.8% can compound into profits you’ve never thought imaginable — if you play your bets properly.
All in all, Portfolio EV is doing pretty strongly at this stage of the NFL season. If these early returns hold close to their current levels, compounding returns will lead to massive gains when the year is through.
