What’s going on, everybody? Eric Lindquist here, and I have my favorite MLB bet for Thursday’s limited five-game slate. We’re staying disciplined with a smaller board today, but this Astros-Twins pick stands out to me for a lot of reasons. Let’s dive in.

Astros-Twins Pick: Best MLB Bets Today
This game is in Minnesota, and it’s going to be cold. That always suppresses scoring, and the wind is only slightly blowing out. The Twins send Joe Ryan to the mound, a fly ball pitcher who uses his fastball 66% of the time and keeps hitters off balance. He had a .234 expected batting average in his debut and looked sharp.
Hunter Brown is taking the ball for Houston. He has a deep arsenal of plus offerings and has shown strong command early this year. He finished last season with a 30.3% hard-hit rate and a 3.31 xERA.
Neither lineup looks dangerous in this spot. Minnesota strikes out plenty, and outside of Yordan Alvarez, the Astros haven’t inspired confidence yet. I like this under even at juice, especially since seven is a key number in MLB totals. Taking the hook here makes a big difference.
