FanDuel Sportsbook’s Dinger Tuesday is the talk of sportsbook deals — if you bet a $25-plus wager on a player to hit a home run, you get $5 in bonus bets for each home run hit by both teams in the game! If you’re yet to sign up for FanDuel, you can get a no-sweat first bet worth up to $1,000! Remember, FanDuel DOES NOT void batters who are not in the lineup. We advise you to wait until lineups are announced to make your Dinger Tuesday picks.
There were 25 home runs last week on Dinger Tuesday. On a full slate, that just isn’t enough. Let’s hope for more power today as we dive into ballpark factors and the weather; they’re extremely important when targeting these home run bets. With that being said, let’s jump into the action.
According to OddsShopper’s tools, there are plenty of +EV spots to target on FanDuel for home run bets. Check out some of the best below.
Best Home Run Picks Today: FanDuel’s Dinger Tuesday
Will Smith +285 | Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Cincinnati Reds
Pick your poison on which Dodgers hitters to select tonight. Six of the Dodgers’ nine hitters are listed at +400 or worse on FanDuel, so if you’re looking for value, you’ll find it with the other home run bets.
It’s primed to be a home run parade in Cincinnati, with the wind blowing out. MLB bettors will be swimming in bonus bets given all the power the Dodgers lineup has. Since bettors are only allowed to target one player for each game, Will Smith gets the nod here. Smith is hitting .313 against righties in the last month and has hit five of his eight home runs against them this season.
Smith will match up against Luke Weaver, who ranks in the bottom 4% of the league in max exit velocity allowed – a Dinger Tuesday bettor’s dream. That exit velocity has resulted in 11 home runs allowed for Weaver and six to right-handed bats. The Dodgers will most likely platoon five righties in the lineup to mash at Weaver, who allows a batting average of .323.
Charlie Blackmon +750 | San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies
A +750 home run bet at Coors Field makes too much sense. Let it be known that the Giants will open with RHP John Brebbia and then move to LHP Sean Manaea as the primary pitcher.
Charlie Blackmon doesn’t have the greatest splits against lefties, but he’s a veteran who has had success facing off against Manaea. In nine career at-bats, Blackmon has three extra-base hits and zero strikeouts.
Blackmon is fresh off going yard in his last game at Coors Field and will likely see at least five plate appearances in the two-hole in what presumes to be a high-scoring affair in Colorado. It makes all the sense in the world to target the game with the highest total of the slate, according to FanDuel.
Bryce Harper +340 | Detroit Tigers vs. Philadelphia Phillies
The Phillies offense is starting to heat up. The talented lineup that many presumed to be the best in the National League has hit 11 home runs its their last six games. Trea Turner may have finally broken out, as he went yard twice last night, but Bryce Harper is the hitter to target to hit a home run.
Harper hasn’t lost a step since he had offseason surgery and missed the start of 2023. He’s only hit three home runs in 29 games, but he loves playing in Citizens Bank Park. He’s hitting .326 and an even-better .350 against righties in the last 30 days.
The Tigers will have a bullpen game, which means they’ll start with LHP Tyler Alexander as the opener and then move to RHP Garrett Hill and his 10.29 ERA. The Phillies are -190 on the moneyline, with many anticipating a Philadelphia offensive slaughter of the Tigers bullpen. Don’t look now, but the Phillies bats are getting hot just in time for Dinger Tuesday.
