Best Home Run Picks Today: FanDuel’s Dinger Tuesday
Joey Gallo +420 | Minnesota Twins vs. Seattle Mariners
While looking at home run props, especially when betting exclusively on one book, it is essential that they are +EV. Joey Gallo checks that box. Other than on DraftKings, Gallo is listed at +300 or worse odds on every other major book, including +250 on Caesars.
If Gallo is projected to start, he will face a right-handed pitcher in Mariners rookie Bryan Woo. Woo has been sensational through seven starts this season, with a 2.78 xERA that ranks in the top 5% of the league. But lefties simply have his number, as they are hitting .360 against him and have 10 extra-base hits in 50 at-bats.
Gallo is fresh off going yard last night in Seattle and will look to continue that momentum. To no surprise, 14 of his 17 home runs this season have come against right-handed pitching.
Trea Turner +480 | Milwaukee Brewers vs. Philadelphia Phillies
It may be mandatory to take a Philadelphia Phillies batter to hit a home run today. They have won seven of their last 10 games and have hit 13 home runs during that stretch. They continue their home stand today against the Milwaukee Brewers, who also can rack up the free bets against Aaron Nola since he has given up the third-most home runs this season.
The entire betting community will most likely be on Bryce Harper tonight. He has had great success against Julio Teheran, and the odds reflect it. Harper has only hit one home run in his last 40 games but is listed at +330 to do so tonight. Instead, turn to the Phillies’ big-time free agent acquisition Trea Turner, who has also gone deep against Teheran in his career. It hasn’t been the season that Turner envisioned, but with 27 plate appearances against Teheran while hitting .400, he lines up as the best option.
This game has the potential to cash in the maximum number of free bets with these potent offenses against both right-handed pitchers. If you’re looking at someone from the other side, Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich is hitting .364 with three home runs against right-handed pitching in July.
Manny Machado +340 | San Diego Padres vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Manny Machado is on a huge run. He’s hitting over .400 against right-handed pitching in July and has a league-leading seven home runs. Plus, he’s facing off against a righty today in Alex Manoah, the same Manoah that was in the minors just two weeks ago.
Manoah has given up 11 home runs in just over 300 plate appearances this season, whereas last year he gave up 16 in 786 at-bats. This will be the first time these two match up against each other, but Machado is on another planet at the moment. He has six home runs in his last 10 games and has a slugging rate of over 1.000.
