At home he is 5-1 with a 3.12 ERA, so bettors should feel comfortable with him getting the ball. August has not been the most effective month for Elder, but his last start was a crisp seven innings of one-hit ball at home, providing all the necessary confidence to back him. Plus, he gets the Mets tonight, who are struggling across the board.
