Mets-Rockies Bet: Pete Alonso Props
It seems you can’t go wrong with taking a Pete Alonso prop tonight. His total bases prop set at 1.5 is +EV on BetMGM according to Stokastic Bet Pro. He’s cashed this over in six of his last 10 games in large part to going yard in all six. He was held in check last night but someone of Alonso’s caliber is tough to slow down in a series like this.
Alonso will go head-to-head against Colorado Rockies pitcher Chase Anderson. Anderson is already on his second team this season after being released by the Tampa Bay Rays. There’s no debating that Anderson has been more than solid for the Rockies. In two starts he has a 1.69 ERA and has allowed only two hits in 10.2 innings. Anderson, a right-handed pitcher, has been hit hard in his career against right-handed hitters. It’s too small of a sample size to look at just this season. If we date back to past seasons, Anderson allowed a whopping .357 batting average two seasons ago. Anderson will primarily throw a fastball that Alonso has all the potential to hit out of the yard. He ranks in the 90th percentile in Max Exit Velocity and the 99th percentile in xSLG.
