Best Orioles-Braves Bets:

Baltimore Orioles vs. Atlanta Braves Odds
Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook
Baltimore Orioles: +136 | Atlanta Braves: -162
Over 9.5: -115 | Under 9.5: -105

The Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves will trot out some sharp pitchers for Sunday’s contest. The Orioles will start Tyler Wells, who ranks fourth in the team’s rotation but leads the unit in FiveThirtyEight’s rolling game score. The Braves will start Bryce Elder, who ranks third on the team in the metric but owns a higher score than Wells. Elder is 3-0 with an ERA of 1.75 this season, while Wells is 2-1 with an ERA of 3.34.

The total for Sunday’s game sits at a relatively lofty 9.5. Atlanta ranks a high-scoring sixth in runs per game this year (5.5), behind fourth-ranked Baltimore (5.6), so this number makes some sense. However, only one of Wells’ six starts has produced 10 runs or more, while only three of Elder’s six starts have done so. Opposing teams have done most of their damage to these squads’ bullpens.

Bettors should take a look at the first-half (or first five innings) markets for Sunday’s action once those lines open. Pinnacle, a sharp book, has the first-half total set to five runs with the under priced at +106 — any number better than that should have value on Sunday. But because most domestic books aren’t taking action on first-half markets as of publication, I recommend making the below parlay bet instead.

Let’s parlay the full-game under with the Braves to win Sunday’s game against the Orioles. This wager has odds of +200 at FanDuel Sportsbook. We’re taking advantage of Atlanta’s slight edge on the mound — and significant edge in the batter’s box — with this play. These offenses have scored at a high enough clip for the books to have set the total at 9.5, but the Orioles have yet to eclipse a total set this high in 2023.
