Trea Turner O/U 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Let’s get the positive vibes going for Trea Turner. He’s back. The $3oo million man is hitting .333 in August with eight runs and 10 RBIs. Since he’ll be facing off against southpaw Yusei Kikuchi of the Toronto Blue Jays, let’s dive into Turner’s splits.
In his last 50 at-bats against LHPs, Turner is hitting .280 with three stolen bases, which is much higher than his .239 average this season. If we take a look at what he has done in August, it gets even better. He’s hitting .353 against LHPs and ranks just outside the top 20 in hits with six. That’s a small sample size since most MLB pitchers throw right-handed, but it’s something to build on for Turner, who has been a laughingstock for opposing teams.
Turner has moved around the lineup a ton in the last few weeks, but we can expect him in the seven-hole tonight hitting behind some pretty lethal hitters for the Phillies. All-Star Nick Castellanos will be sure to find the basepaths for Turner to drive in while lefty Bryson Stott is a lefty killer with a .302 batting average.
