Best Sunday Nigth Baseball Bets: Attack This Line With Corey Kluber & Miles Mikolas Slated

The Red Sox always had an uphill battle to compete in the AL East after losing J.D. Martinez, Xander Bogaerts and a handful of other contributors in the offseason. But it would also be unfair to deem their situation as a full-blown rebuild. Boston locked up third baseman Rafael Devers with a massive extensionand brought in accomplished hitter Justin Turner to try to patch up the void.

Still, they have hovered around mediocrity for the entirety of the season and find themselves 7.5 games back of the first-place Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East. To turn it around, the Red Sox are going to need some of their starting pitchers to find their form, including Corey Kluber. Kluber enters Sunday night’s start 2-4 with a 6.29 ERA. His big problem has been pitching the inability to pitch deep into games. The former ace has completed six innings in just one of his seven stars on the year, giving up six earned runs over his last two starts.

It has been a similar story for Cardinals right-hander Miles Mikolas. The 34-year-old carries a 5.40 ERA into the scheduled start. And although he has been better at limiting runs in the month of May, he has only completed 10.0 innings over his past two stars.

Both the Red Sox and Cardinals possess plenty of star power in their lineup, which makes this a tough spot for both Mikolas and Kluber. Even with the over/under juiced to 10 (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook), there is still value in taking the over with a slugfest possible at the hitter-friendly Fenway Park. New users at DraftKings looking to take this line can also benefit from $150 in bonus bets with any $5 MLB wager!
