Best MLB Player Prop Bet: Kyle Gibson O/U 5.5 Strikeouts

Kyle Gibson has recorded three wins this season in just four starts. With the wins piling up, you’d think Gibson has been sensational this season. Wrong. He’s gotten plenty of run support from the loaded Orioles offense in each of his four starts. They’ve scored five runs in each start including six in his last game that Gibson only struck out one batter. Tonight, he’ll be behind the Orioles faithful against a subpar Detriot Tigers.

The Tigers struggled mightily against Orioles right-hander Tyler Wells last night. Wells pitched seven innings of almost flawless baseball. The Tigers mustered only three hits and failed to score a run but only stuck out five times. It gets much easier against Gibson who ranks in the 10th percentile in K% and career-low whiff rate. He’s failed to strike out more than six batters in all four starts in his first year as a member of the Orioles.

The Tigers are looked at a must-play for any oppsing pitcher but that’s not the case. They take the 10th most pitches per plate apparenace and with a wested Orioles bullpen, it could be a shorter outing than expected.
