Best Twins-Royals Player Prop: Byron Buxton Folds (July 30)

Best MLB Player Prop: Byron Buxton | July 30

Byron Buxton Prop O/U 1.5 Total Bases

It has been sad to see the fall of Byron Buxton the last few seasons. He has not played in more than 100 games since 2017 due to lingering injuries. But even when he is in the lineup, he has not been the same. Buxton is hitting just .206 with a xBA of .214 this season, which ranks in the bottom 10% of the league. He is also striking out at a near career-high rate that also ranks in the bottom 10th percentile.

Buxton will face off against Royals lefty Ryan Yarbrough. Yarbrough will not blow anyone away with velocity or strikeout stuff, but he finds a way to get outs. He ranks in the top 5% of the MLB in hard-hit percentage and exit velocity. Both Yarbrough and Buxton uniquely have reverse splits this season. Buxton cannot seem to hit left-handed pitchers, as he has a .162 batting average and just seven extra-base hits. Meanwhile, Yarbrough is allowing right-handed batters to hit .263, compared to lefties hitting .275.

After a three-hit game yesterday and riding a three-game hit streak, Buxton has a line that usually has vig. Take advantage of a line that Buxton has hit in just 35% of games this season and two of his last 10.
