Well, we went 1-1 on our no run first inning picks last night. We got Lewis’d. Yes, Royce Lewis deserves to be made into a verb after that two-homer game against the Blue Jays yesterday. He looked GREAT in his return, which I wasn’t really expecting. Nonetheless, we’re still on a heater for our best NRFI and YRFI picks!
DraftKings gave us a little gift on Tuesday with that 33% boost on the Marlins-Phillies YRFI/NRFI, which helped us get the NRFI all the way up to +102. Winning back that full unit salvaged our night. Make sure to follow me on Twitter for updates throughout the day on our NRFI bets, odds boosts as well as bonus bet opportunities that pop up.
DraftKings has given us another 25% profit boost for MLB bets today, and, spoiler alert, we’re going to be using it. Let’s get to the best NRFI bets today.
Best YRFI & NRFI Bets Today: Yes & No Run First Inning Bets
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Minnesota Twins First Inning Bet
We start again in Minnesota, where the Blue Jays and Twins owe us money from yesterday’s NRFI pick. Sonny Gray gets the ball as the Game 2 starter for the Twins, and he’s been nothing short of fantastic in no run first inning chances. Gray is 28-4 on NRFIs this season, and is riding a three-game NRFI streak as well. In his lone outing against Toronto this year, Gray threw 5 innings and allowed one run while striking out 5. Career numbers against the Jays also look good for Gray — .186 AVG, .288 OBP and 26 Ks in 97 ABs.
Jose Berrios will be facing his former team, and looking to cash his 27th NRFI on the year. He’s coming off a 10-strikeout performance against the Yankees, so let’s hope he’s got the good stuff working again today. Berrios faced the Twins once this season and looked sharp as a tack. He threw 5.2 scoreless innings and struck out 5 Minnesota batters. He’s owned the Twins in 62 career at-bats, holding them to a .161 average, .274 OBP and .242 SLUG.
We just need the fellas to keep a clean sheet in the first.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Milwaukee Brewers First Inning Bet
There was some fun in the first inning of this Diamondbacks-Brewers matchup yesterday, but we’re rooting for NO fun today.
We’re getting Freddy Peralta on the mound for Milwaukee, who is 23-7 on no run first inning chances this season. He last pitched on Sept. 24, so he should be well rested and ready to go for Game 2. Peralta did not face the D-backs this season, and has a very limited sample size against Arizona hitters. But, let’s take a look anyway. In 22 career at-bats against Peralta, the Diamondbacks have mustered just 2 hits and struck out 7 times. Obviously, small sample, so take that with a grain of salt. Those ridiculous numbers aside, I like this setup for Peralta.
Arizona is in an amazing spot, with ace Zac Gallen getting the nod for Game 2 tonight, looking to close out the series. He’s 26-8 on NRFIs this season, and has looked great in his last two starts. Gallen has faced the Brewers twice this season, and this is where I have to apply the NSFW tag for what I’m about to disclose. In those two starts, he threw a combined 14 innings, allowed only 1 run and struck out 15 along the way. Those are borderline pornographic numbers. Let’s hope for some more smut from Gallen tonight as he brings home the NRFI for us, and cashes us yet another parlay.
