BANG! It was a Sunday smash cashing our +230 NRFI parlay! We cashed the no run first inning bets in both Royals-Blue Jays and Brewers-Yankees without a sweat! What a great way to lead us into Monday’s yes and no run first inning picks.
Apologies for no picks articles on Saturday and Sunday, we were having a birthday bash for my daughter — she just turned 13 … god help us all. However, I still gave out picks for both days, they were just over on Twitter. Make sure to go give me a follow on Twitter @nd_joyce; I always drop my picks there, and if you don’t see an article, you’ll likely find a video or tweet thread with all my picks for the day.
I’ve got two more YRFI/NRFI bets today, so let’s make it another sweep, and cash back-to-back parlays!

Miami Marlins vs. Milwaukee Brewers First Inning Bet
How do we not back one of OUR GUYS?!? Of course, we’re going to put our coins on a guy who has cashed for us all season long!
The #NRFIGod himself, Jesus Luzardo is on the mound tonight against the Milwaukee Brewers. He’s bringing his 24-4 NRFI record into tonight’s game, as well as riding a three-game NRFI streak. There’s no meaningful sample of Luzardo against Brewers hitters, but Milwaukee does have plenty of swing and miss in its lineup, so Luzardo’s 10.5 K/9 should play well tonight.
On the other side, we have Brandon Woodruff, who is 7-1 on NRFIs (of course, the lone loss he had is one we bet on 🙄), but we’re not holding that against him. And we’re especially not holding that against him when he gets the 29th-ranked first-inning offense in the Marlins. In 40 career at-bats against Marlins hitters, Woodruff has held them to a .175 average, walked only two batters and has a ridiculous 14 strikeouts.
We’re not even hesitating on this, and when I saw it for -115 earlier on Caesars, it was an insta-smash!

Chicago Cubs vs. Colorado Rockies First Inning Bet
Yes run first inning bets in Coors Field seem kind of “too easy” of a pick, and they usually come at an unbettable price. But today, BetRivers gave us some manna from heaven with this line. A -139 YRFI in Coors? We’re ALL THE WAY in on that!
It’s hard to imagine me telling you Kyle Freeland is worse on the road than he is at home, but I have to tell you that. However, let’s just say, both his home and road splits are #Ungood. The left-hander is allowing a .293 batting average against at home and has been tuned up for a 5.05 ERA as well. The Cubs are marginally better against left-handed pitching, but they do have some individual bets that can MERK southpaws. Namely, Cody Bellinger, who is having arguably one of the best second halves in recent memory. Bellinger has smashed LHPs, hitting .347 with 19 extra-base hits (9 home runs, 9 doubles, 1 triple). The Cubs offense has been humming along this second half, let’s make sure it stays humming tonight.
Cubs starter Jordan Wicks has made three starts this season and is 2-1 in no run first inning opportunities. However, he’s never experienced the wonders that come along with Coors Field. We don’t have a ton of data to go on here with Wicks, but I do like an inexperienced pitcher throwing in Coors for the first time when looking for a YRFI.

Monday’s YRFI/NRFI Parlay
This feels like a bit of a gift, considering how hard the Cubs-Rockies YRFI is juiced on other books. We’re getting the Marlins-Brewers NRFI with that Cubs-Rockies YRFI at +204 at BetRivers. We usually keep the parlay to a fractional unit size, but I’m feeling a full-unit smash on this parlay!
