The NRFI gods have been unkind to us lately. Like, REALLY unkind. Tanner Bibee looked like he was going to close out the top of the first, but Max Kepler gave us the two-out blade. Tough scene.
We’ve got split-slate MLB betting action today, and we’re not slowing down one bit with our YRFI/NRFI bets. You already know I’ve got the late-slate games covered here, but we’re rocking TWO early game yes/no run first inning picks as well. To get those NRFI bets, just check out my Twitter thread here.
Now, let’s get to Wednesday’s no run first inning picks and predictions.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Miami Marlins First Inning Bet
There are three things I like about this game. Let’s go over them in order.
1. The Dodgers offense. Mookie Betts & Co. are second in baseball in runs scored per first inning. You don’t need me to tell you how dangerous this lineup, especially at the top.
2. The Marlins starting pitcher. JT Chargois will open this game for Miami, which will be only his fifth career start. He’s not a massive strikeout guy, and anytime you get a pitcher giving up contact to a lineup like this, it’s scary.
3. Dusty Lance Lynn. I dare you to sit there and tell me Lynn is worth a NRFI bet. Don’t worry, I’ll wait. Yes, he’s 17-10 on NRFIs this season, but I’m a non-believer. Lynn’s rocking a 5.81 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and has allowed 37 home runs this season — the most in MLB.
The signs, to me, point only toward the yes run first inning, and getting it at -114 odds is just too much value to pass on.

New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals First Inning Bet
We’re rooting for fun again in this one. I mean, have you SEEN the pitching matchups across the league tonight? Yikes.
There’s not much to see here with Mets-Nationals.
Washington is starting Joan Adon (who owes us money, by the way), and in his 29 innings this season, he’s struggled badly with left-handed hitters (.283 average, .550 slugging, 4 home runs allowed). The Mets can stack up three lefties atop their order in Jeff McNeil, Francisco Lindor, and Brandon Nimmo and have Pete Alonso in the cleanup spot. And this is an offense that has scored 24 runs over its last three games.
The Mets seem to be starting something called Jose Butto. I’m not even sure that’s a real Major League Baseball player. Now, here’s a guy (Cris Collinsworth would be proud) who has less than 20 career big league innings and has served up 21 hits, 14 runs, 16 walks and three homers. The Nationals are No. 6 overall in runs per first inning and top 12 while at home.

Wednesday’s YRFI/NRFI Parlay
Forget the no run first inning bets, we’re going straight YES run first inning bets today. Take both of these YRFI bets on BetRivers and get +233 odds.
For the love of god, can we win one of these parlays so I don’t have to feed my family ice chips?!?
