We finally hit 150 wins on NRFI bets this season. Just want to give a quick shoutout to PhillyWilly215, who was the winner of our $50 giveaway to celebrate.
We have to keep pushing with these yes and no run first inning bets and start a new hot streak today. Per usual, I have two YRFI/NRFI picks, and they might look a little familiar. Let’s rock.

Seattle Mariners vs. Cincinnati Reds First Inning Bet
Yes, we’re going right back to the yes run first inning well here in Cincinnati.
Let’s start with something that sounds tough: Bryce Miller has been a #StudMuffin in first innings this year. He’s 17-3 on NRFIs, which seems like a daunting task. However, this Reds offense might be coming to life, as they’ve scored 13 runs in their last two games after scoring just 12 runs in the seven before that. As we stated yesterday, the home bump for the Reds is real, and they’re No. 7 in runs scored per first inning while at home.
On the flip side, Seattle is No. 5 in runs per first inning on the road, and they’re getting Connor Phillips, who has thrown as many major league pitches as you and me (apologies to any former MLB pitchers who might be reading). Jose Rodriguez is the hottest hitter on the planet right now, and JP Crawford is extremely patient in the leadoff spot.
The equation today is: Two good first-inning offenses + MLB debut for the Reds SP + GREAT offensive ballpark = YRFI.

Minnesota Twins vs. Cleveland Guardians First Inning Bet
This was the first game to catch my eye when I began previewing the slate late Monday night. No doubt, last night’s score looked like the Vikings stomped the Browns 20-6.
I’ve been a big Tanner Bibee believer this year, and I don’t see myself stopping now. Our guy is sitting with an ERA right at 3.00 and is a strikeout-per-inning pitcher … as a rookie. That’s impressive. He’s faced Minnesota twice this year and has gotten three outs unscathed both times to cash the NRFI. Overall, Bibee is 16-6 on NRFI chances and has cashed the no run first inning in both of his last two starts.
Sonny Gray has faced Cleveland three times this season and hit the no run first inning in every outing, which has helped him to a 24-3 record on NRFIs this season. The dude has been BALLING of late. In six August starts, Gray allowed only TWO home runs in nearly 40 innings and a 2.04 ERA. Given his history against the Guardians this season (3-0 on NRFIs) and decent career numbers against Cleveland batters, this lines us up for a no run first inning bet.

Tuesday’s YRFI/NRFI Parlay
I always preach to find the best odds to bet the singles at individual books, and I’ll continue to do so. But I looked across the industry and found this YRFI/NRFI parlay at +226 at BetRivers.
I expect to see winning screenshots tweeted at me after we cash this thing.
