It looked like we were on our way to a smash and cash Wednesday after Royce Lewis cashed our Astros-Twins YRFI with a two-out homer in the first. However, there was voodoo magic being worked in the desert. No first-inning runs in Dodgers-Diamondbacks, but naturally, dusty Lance Lynn gave up FOUR dongs in the third inning. Variance, it’s a hell of a drug.
I’m still unsure how Lynn and Brandon Pfaadt managed to get out of the first unscathed, but by hook or by crook, they got it done and ruined one of our last chances at a NRFI parlay bang. If you follow me on Twitter, you got my full betting card and cashed my +243 pitcher out parlay, where we took UNDER Joe Ryan and Lance Lynn outs. Now THAT was sweat-free. That’s just a little sample of what my followers get.
With only one series left to be decided, we have only one game tonight — Braves-Phillies NLDS Game 4. Let’s see where our yes/no run first inning bets take us.

Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies First Inning Bet
I bet I got you to click with that sexy headline asking if the Braves offense actually stinks, huh? Well, they’ve scored seven runs in three games. So “the casuals” might tell you their offense isn’t built for postseason baseball. That’s why they’re casuals. I’m not willing to believe that a 27-inning sample is enough to make me change my mind on this explosive Atlanta offense.
The Phillies are starting Ranger Suarez in Game 4, who threw 3.2 innings of one-hit ball in Game 1 of this series. How? Don’t ask me, bruh, I still don’t know how he did it. This Braves offense merked left-handed pitching to the tune of a .288 average and .870 OPS, mostly with the help of Ronald Acuna and Austin Riley atop the lineup. The Suarez struggles are real against right-handers. He is 60 points worse against righties in batting average (.278) and gave up 12 of his 13 home runs to opposite-handed hitters. Once again, I think we’ll get a Braves offense that looks to be aggressive in the first, especially if Acuna gets on base. Seeing Suarez again on a short turnaround feels like the spot where Atlanta could get right and get right early.
But if we don’t get our sweat-free YRFI bet cash in the top half, we have an offense that has scored 17 runs in three games to fall back on. Of course, the Phillies will have a tougher task on their hands with Spencer Strider on the mound for the Braves. But guess what? They’ve YRFI’d Strider before this season and should’ve in Game 1 of this series. After Kyle Schwarber missed a home run by three feet to lead off the game, he bailed out Strider with a mistake running the bases, and the Phillies hit into an inning-ending double-play to squash it. There might not be a hotter offense than Philly’s right now, and if Bryce Harper keeps swinging the bat the way he is, there could be fireworks in the bottom half.
In what could be the last time we get to bet on the Braves, we’re using Philly’s own mantra against it and “trusting the process.” The Braves helped us smash YRFIs all year, and if we’re going down, we’re going down with what got us here — especially at +100 odds.
