Wednesday was an ABSOLUTE SMASH FEST! We cashed all three no run first inning bets and won a +209 NRFI parlay. Yesterday’s sweep gave us our fourth NRFI parlay win in 7 days, and we’re now +43.75u on the year.
Thursday’s slate of games is small and, quite honestly, #NotGood. But with the help of a profit boost on DraftKings Sportsbook, there’s one spot we can attack with a no run first inning pick. Be sure to follow me on Twitter for any late-breaking news, or bonus NRFI bets!

Washington Nationals at Miami Marlins First Inning Bet
It’s a short MLB slate with only four games today. However, this Nationals-Marlins game is one we can take a flier on.
This game sports an over/under of 8.5, which is just a half run more than Braves-Dodgers (Spencer Strider vs. Lance Lynn), but I’m not in the business of trying to NRFI the Braves offense or YRFI Strider. So we’re going to root against fun and back Joan Adon and Braxton Garrett.
Garrett has been a strong no run first-inning pitcher for us this year, sitting with a 19-6 record on NRFIs. He’s faced the Nationals twice this season, going 1-1 on NRFIs and giving up only two home runs in 63 at-bats. The one YRFI came in his last start. It was a greasy run. Check this out:
- CJ Abrams singles
- Advances to second on a ground out
- Abrams steals third
- Abrams scores on a ground out
- Next batter grounds out
I don’t see a replay happening tonight.
However, Adon … can be a TAD scary.
In his four starts this season, he’s gone 3-1 in NRFI opportunities. In fact, he just cashed the no run first inning in his last start — and you’ll never guess who it was against. OK, OK, you got me. It was the Marlins.
We all know about the first-inning woes of the Marlins (29th in runs per first). But an additional feather in Adon’s cap is that Miami might be without Jorge Soler (35 home runs this year) again tonight.
If you’re telling me I can get the second-worst first-inning offense in baseball without its best bat, I like that setup. Let’s trust Adon to get us three outs and cash our no run first inning pick today.
