Ronald Acuna wasted no time in cashing our Cardinals-Braves yes run first inning bet, but we were doomed by an abysmal Carlos Rodon outing. Everything went wrong for Rodon in the first, and we lost our Tigers-Yankees NRFI bet. If you like pain, check out the footage of our MLB parlay going up in flames.
We may have gone 1-1 yesterday on our picks, but much like Baker Mayfield, I woke up feeling dangerous today … and I’m feeling a sweep. So you aren’t going to want to miss these two YRFI/NRFI bets I have for you today.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Reds First Inning Bet
There’s nothing I love more than a warm day at Great American Ball Park … SMALL Park. We get that today when the Cardinals play the Reds.
We have an over/under sitting at 10.5 here with wind blowing out to right-center. The Cardinals offense has been showing signs of life lately, scoring 27 runs in the last five games. The more intriguing part? Nine came off Braves studs Spencer Strider and Max Fried. Now, Andrew Abbott? He’s not Strider or Fried. He is 11-6 on NRFIs this season, but with the Cardinals offense looking like it might be “back,” I like this side to help us get a potential run.
The real show? Well, it’s the Reds offense. Stop me if you’ve heard me say this before: Reds offense. At home. Against a middling lefty.
You should’ve stopped me. Because you’ve heard this A LOT. And as Hawk Harrelson so annoyingly said, “Don’t stop now, boys!” We’re right back to it. The Reds are top 8 in runs scored per first inning while at home, and against Drew (CD) Rom — IYKYK — it’s time to fire up a YRFI.

Miami Marlins vs. Philadelphia Phillies First Inning Bet
I have a strong feeling that by the time this game reaches first pitch we’re going to see these odds shift significantly, which is going to give us some big-time CLV. I understand, you can’t feed your family with CLV, but we’re sure gonna try.
These two starters have been KINGS when it comes to no run first inning bets. We’re going to keep that trend alive.
Cristopher Sanchez is 12-2 on NRFI chances this season and hasn’t seen the Marlins yet this season. In 11 career at-bats against Sanchez, the Marlins have two hits, but we’re not putting any stock in that small of a sample. What we like is that Sanchez is nearly a strike0ut-per-inning guy and rarely hurts himself with walks. He’s issued 12 walks all season and has a 1.04 WHIP. We can trust him to get three outs.
My dog, Eury Perez, who we pumped so hard in his last start, let us down by allowing a solo homer to lead off the game. But if I know anything about my guy, he ain’t letting us down twice in a row. Perez has cashed the no run first inning in 14 of his 16 starts, and most have been in convincing fashion. But what about the left-handed bats the Phillies can throw at him like Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper? To that I say, “cool.” Perez has been DEATH to lefties (and righties for that matter), holding them to a .182 average and 51 strikeouts in 137 at-bats. Not bad, eh?
Tonight, kings stay kings. Give me the six outs, and give me the NRFI.
