We have extra baseball on this Saturday as the Braves and Cardinals play will two in Atlanta. That’s just two of 16 games on the docket as the MLB continues to climb out of the All-Star Break. We have a couple of solid edges thanks to the OddsShopper pick’em tool, as we build with our top two Pick6 plays of the night. We have a DraftKings Pick6 optimizer — so we might as well use it! Without further ado, here are the top MLB predictions to use for tonight’s DraftKings Pick 6 slate
Here’s the lowdown on DraftKings Pick6: It is meant to mirror most pick’em sites, allowing you to build a two- to six-leg entry with larger payouts for more correct choices. However, the new product is peer-to-peer, meaning the strategy lies in beating other players in pre-selected tournaments rather than beating the house, making it important to be contrarian!

DraftKings Pick6 MLB Predictions Today
Bryce Harper M/L Than 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBI
We catch the Philadelphia Phillies fresh off another late inning meltdown — but not without Bryce Harper clearing last night’s number. It moves up a full HRR to 2.5 and is still worth the play against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Harper will start the game squaring off against Luis Ortiz, who brings a meager 20% strikeout rate balanced by a stronger .234 xBA. Unfortunately for the Pirates, it remains incredibly difficult to pitch around Harper in this Phillies lineup, even situationally, namely because of Trea Turner.
There remains a quality chance that just getting on the base will transfer into a run. There’s enough firepower behind Harper and enough guys in front who are getting on the bags. While Harper is far from immune to striking out, he’s countering that with an impressive 14% walk rate on the year. The issue for Philadelphia is not stacking enough power or threat in their lineup — it’s an inevitable implosion in the back end of their pen. This is a fine matchup for Harper, where even a home run will still clear this play for us.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction Today: Bryce Harper More Than 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBI
Framber Valdez M/L Than 5.5 Strikeouts
The Astros are will look to Framber Valdez to keep their recent shutout streak alive against the Mariners. Houston opened the series last night with a 3-0 blanking of Seattle. The Mariners will send out George Kirby tonight, and Valdez may not have the ammo to keep up, at least with strikeouts. Dealing with just a 20.3% strikeout rate, Valdez will have to rely more on mistakes made by the Mariners than forcing anything on his own. There’s also the positive regression expected by Seattle to make matters a little more complicated.
While the M’s are loaded with strikeouts, it’s not an easy jump for Valdez, as he has struggled for consistent punchouts. Houston is still looking to push for the division while the Mariners dropped their fourth straight — three before the ASG. The reality is while still struggling at the plate, Seattle was still nine games above .500 before this slight skid. We like them to make it tough on Valdez tonight at home as the Mariners stop the bleeding with a win.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction Today: Framber Valdez Less Than 5.5 Strikeouts
