We have a full slate of baseball to choose from, but it starts early. Sunday’s action starts at 11:35 a.m. ET in Atlanta, all the way through Sunday Night Baseball in Baltimore. The end of the month couldn’t come fast enough for a handful of teams struggling, and we look to identify value within those matchups. Two of the game’s worst square off in the South side of Chicago as the White Sox look to sweep the Rockies. Thanks to OddsShopper’s DraftKings Pick6 Optimizer, we can find value no matter how bad the game looks. Let’s go over the best MLB DraftKings Pick6 predictions today.
Here’s the lowdown on DraftKings Pick6: It is meant to mirror most pick’em sites, allowing you to build a two- to six-leg entry with larger payouts for more correct choices. However, the new product is peer-to-peer, meaning the strategy lies in beating other players in pre-selected tournaments rather than beating the house, making it important to be contrarian!

Gerrit Cole M/L Than 4.5 Strikeouts
We begin with a pitcher who hasn’t truly returned to form, and there is some value still left on the bone. This was once a number two or three strikeouts higher, but that doesn’t always mean we buy low. We are not just picking cards or laying a bet, so there’s a community element we are still trying to beat. Because Cole has been junk — dealing with an elbow injury and pitch count hasn’t helped — people will look to tail him against Toronto.
But here’s the rub: The Yankees are most likely down Juan Soto again with a hand injury, so there’s even less firepower behind Cole. The overall outing may not last too long, as we’ve already seen the Jays jump all over the Yankees once in this series. Toronto also isn’t a team with a high strikeout rate — at least looking at everyday players. There are just two guys seeing regular action with a strikeout rate north of 18%. That’s not making it any easier for Cole.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Gerrit Cole Less Than 4.5 Strikeouts
Garrett Crochet M/L Than 9.5 Strikeouts
You’ve heard of the Brawl for it All? Well, this is for absolutely nothing. The game features two of the uglier teams in all of baseball and Chicago still looking to pull out the sweep. We aren’t sure how many more sweep opportunities the White Sox will have this year, and they’ll look to do it behind Crochet. His strikeout number is rather high even though the Rockies are abysmal on the road. They hack away in general, and people love the numbers behind Crochet.
This is a popular fade for us thanks to our DraftKings Pick6 Optimizer. It’s giving us a slight edge against the market and is a top 3 play for OddsShopper. Crochet has hit double-digit strikeouts in five of 17 starts this year, so while it can certainly happen, it’s not a given even against this rock-bottom Colorado squad. He will lean more to giving up fly balls over ground balls but ultimately still pitch to contact enough to avoid that 10th or even ninth strikeout.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Garrett Crochet Less Than 9.5 Strikeouts
Lance Lynn M/L Than 5.5 Strikeouts
Lynn used to throw for the Sox, but those days are behind him. He’s probably missing Los Angeles more than Chicago, but his focus today is on Cincinnati. The Reds come off a 9-4 victory and will look to get right after it again, this time against Lynn. While Lynn hasn’t been rocked, he’s struggled to pass the above number — finishing with five quite a few times. Some of it is the matchup, but a lot is just how the game is managed around him. Lynn is surviving with a decent 21.7% strikeout rate but those are clearly coming few and farther between getting roughed up on contact.
The .260xBA and .328 xwOBA are enough to keep this from any dominating outing, leaving him susceptible to getting chased out early by the Reds. Cincy is throwing out Hunter Greene, and unless he’s planning on walking everyone, Greene should be in full control. There’s pressure against these Reds and to keep up with their starting pitcher. That’s enough to stay away from anything positive for Lynn today, especially his strikeouts.
DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Lance Lynn Less Than 5.5 Strikeouts
