Oh, what a great weekend this is going to be. We have baseball galore awaiting us, and on top of that, BetMGM is giving all of its customers a shot at $50,000! BetMGM is bringing you the Grand Slam Jackpot — bet on a player to hit a home run this week, and if that home run is a grand slam, you will win a chunk of the $50,000 grand prize. Read on for more details on BetMGM’s MLB promo.
BetMGM MLB Promo: Grand Slam Jackpot for $50K in Bonuses
This promo runs throughout the weekend, so you will have a few bites at the Grand Slam Jackpot apple. Here is how it works:
Bet at least $10 on any single player to hit a home run this weekend (must be at least +100). If that player happens to hit a grand slam on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you will be eligible to receive a share of the $50,000 bonus bet prize!
If you are the only person to bet on a hitter who hits a home run with the sacks packed, you’ll take home the whole thing yourself. Otherwise, you will split the $50,000 with your fellow winners.
There are some further terms and conditions for this promotion that you need to note:
Keep in mind that only the first home run bet you make this weekend will count towards the promo. In other words, you can’t load up on home run bets to spread your wild oats, if you will.
Additionally, a winning home run bet will only qualify for the BetMGM Grand Slam Jackpot if it is placed on the game where the grand slam was hit. If you bet a player to hit a home run on Friday and he hits a grand slam on Sunday, you will not be eligible for a share of the $50,000.
Bonus bets will be issued within 72 hours and are not withdrawable. They also expire after seven days, so get your bets in quickly if you win the Grand Slam Jackpot! 21+. Gambling Problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.
Best BetMGM Home Run Pick This Weekend
Now let’s improve your chances of qualifying for the $50,000 by finding the best home run pick for Sunday.
A Rockies player away from Coors is always a great home run bet, he said sarcastically. Except this time it is a +EV opportunity.
I Elias Diaz knocking the cover off the ball this year? Not exactly. He only has two home runs this year and a mediocre-at-best 30.5% hard-hit rate. He is, however, batting .301 while striking out just 16.7% of the time — so the contact is there, it’s just not flying out.
Diaz is also a major splits guy, as his OPS against lefties is just shy of .900 and his slugging is over .500. I’m not saying he’s Josh Gibson against lefties, but Diaz is a legitimate threat in those matchups.
Today’s pitcher for Pittsburgh is LHP Bailey Falter, who has done fairly well pitching to contact this year. But he does pitch to contact, and Diaz makes a lot of contact. Count on Diaz putting the ball in play, and the +575 odds on a 15% chance of hitting home run are pretty favorable.
Now, if you like this bet but prefer to take it with the best odds rather than attack BetMGM’s Grand Slam Jackpot, FanDuel is cleaning up here at +680. That is a whopping 16% +EV, whereas BetMGM is just 0.2% +EV. That said, the Grand Slam Jackpot is a huge offering, and chances are good that not many others are going to be choosing Diaz for it. If he goes deep with the bases loaded, you may be taking the whole $50,000 for yourself.
