A fully loaded 15-game MLB slate is on deck for Saturday with action starting at 3:07 E.T. in Canada. The weather is set to beautiful on the East Coast so that’s where we’ll take our action. Jordan Westburg of the Baltimore Orioles has great odds on FanDuel compared to other books. He’s our top MLB home run pick for Saturday, August 26, but we also have one more home run bet listed below.

Rockies-Orioles Home Run Pick
When: 7:05 p.m. ET
Where: Camden Yards
OddsShopper’s Target: Jordan Westburg at FanDuel
At first glance, you’re probably thinking, why Jordan Westburg? He only has two home runs in his career. Well, the matchup and odds are what is juicy. Westburg will be opposed by Chris Flexen of the Colorado Rockies. Thanks to Baseball Savant, we can see that Flexen’s advanced metrics are poor. He’s allowing hard contact, not striking out batters, and has almost no velocity on his fastball.
It doesn’t just end there. Flexen has allowed 19 home runs this season in just 22 games played. He came out of the bullpen earlier this season but has transitioned to a starter like his days in Seattle where he was serviceable. Well, he isn’t serviceable anymore and this is a perfect time to attack him.
Westburg, a top prospect in the Orioles farm system, does have some pop. The numbers may not indicate it but he ranks in the 72nd percentile in exit velocity. He’s got blazing speed but we’re counting on his home run ability today in what is a great matchup.
Thanks to OddsShopper’s tools, they’ve found FanDuel has a huge edge on the rest of the market at +830.

Cardinals-Phillies Home Run Pick
When: 7:15 p.m. ET
Where: Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia
Justin’s Target: Bryce Harper at FanDuel
Don’t look now but Bryce Harper is back. The former MVP went yard in all three games against the San Franciso Giants at home this past series. They came at a crucial time in what was the Phillies’ most important series of the season. The Phillies are back at home against a St. Louis Cardinals team that will have RHP Dakota Hudson on the mound. Advantage Bryce Harper.
Hudson, like Chris Flexen, is severely underwhelming and is just looked at as a backend starter who will most likely not be in the rotation next season. He ranks in the bottom of the league in HardHit%, xBA%, and K%. A recipe for disaster against a surging Phillies team that rakes at home.
It hasn’t been a great season for Harper as he was sidelined up until May but he’s finding his groove and is in a great spot on Saturday Night to hit a home run to right field. Other than Harper, Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner are also great home run bets in what should be a Phillies offensive explosion.
