Best MLB Home Run Bets & Picks: Juan Soto Gets RHP (August 5)

We’re already on Juan Soto over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI because of the great matchup he has on deck against Michael Grove. We might as well sprinkle Soto to go deep as well. Soto shows much patience at the plate but he’s also rocking a three-game home run streak including two home runs to start the month against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Grove has not only been woeful on the road but he’s getting destroyed by left-handed hitters this season for a batting average of .360. Look for Soto to drive one out and climb his batting average against RHP to .300.

Andrew Vaughn of the Chicago White Sox has familiar history with his opponent tonight in Cleveland Guardians newcomer Noah Syndergaard. Vaughn has three plate appearances against Syndergaard with one double and a stolen base. Syndergaard was pulled from his last night against the Houston Astros early due to a comebacker hitting his leg but was cooking before that. He allowed just two hits in over five innings of work. But we can’t ignore his stint with the Dodgers. He ranks in the 2nd percentile in xBA%, 4th in xSLUG%, and 3rd in K%.

Vaughn has been sleepy from the plate but has all the tools to take Syndergaard deep. He has 13 home runs this season with nine of them coming against RHP. In sunny Cleveland, Vaughn is in a prime spot to cash this +600 play.
