Unfortunately, that lefty is Ranger Suarez, a legitimate Cy Young candidate who handles righties at an All-Star level. Even if this is a Coors Field game, the situation is not exactly lending credence to a Bryant explosion.
He is not even averaging a total base per game, and the Mendoza line is slipping out of sight — Bryant is hitting just .175. And he’s slugging only .254, so his ISO is a mere .079. There’s no contact and no power, whether at home or on the road.

Unsurprisingly, Bryant’s under on 1.5 total bases has a high expected win rate of 64% and comes with some juice at -145. But it’s not nearly enough in the mind of OddsShopper’s MLB betting model, as the True Odds here are all the way up to -177.
