A back-and-forth World Series is what viewers want. The Rangers took Game 3 by scoring three runs in the third inning and never looked back. It’s answer time for the Diamondbacks. Let’s dive into our top MLB home run picks and player prop bets for Game 4 of the World Series between the Rangers and Diamondbacks on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Top MLB Home Run Pick & Player Prop Bet for Monday, Oct. 31
Diamondbacks-Rangers Player Prop Bet
Game 4 leaves bettors in an interesting spot. Let me get you up to speed. The Arizona Diamondbacks will start an opener in LHP Joe Mantiply. Mantiply started Game 4 of the NLCS due to the Phillies having lefties in their leadoff spot and 3-hole. Mantiply is, again, projected to pitch the first inning and hand it off to the rest of the bullpen. I expect to see Ryne Nelson for a portion of this game to eat up at least three innings. On the Rangers side, LHP Andrew Heaney will get the start. His leash for tonight is questionable after his start in the Astros series was disastrous. He failed to make it through the first inning, which led to three runs coming across. Heaney did make a relief appearance in Game 2 but threw just six pitches. He’ll be fully ready to go, but expect to see RHP Dane Dunning early if Heaney can’t get the job done.
Gabriel Moreno is the next up-and-coming star catcher in the league. He’s delivered not only offensively but defensively this postseason. Facing a LHP is right where we want him. He hit over .350 against LHP in the regular season, with 13 of his 27 extra-base hits coming from that side in less than 125 at-bats. The hope is Moreno hits in the 3-hole again to complement Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte, mainly hoping to see Heaney at least two times through the order.
Moreno was not only a monster against LHP this season but also at home. He hit .333 at home compared to .234 on the road. With his home success and facing off against a left-hand starter, I feel confident backing Moreno to eclipse this player prop bet for the second time this series. Guess which game Moreno went over this line? Game 2, where he hit a home run off LHP Jordan Montgomery.

Diamondbacks-Rangers Home Run Pick
Now the fun part. Of course, we went with Corbin Carroll over Corey Seager last night. Seager popped a 421-foot missile in the third inning that gave the Rangers all they needed to pull out a win. Onto the next one as I debate backing Carroll again. With odds of +900 on Caesars Sportsbook, it’s tempting. They’re also offering a Halloween 50% profit boost to use on any market. That +900 jumps to +1450.
I don’t love the lefty-lefty matchup that Carroll will see, but Carroll is solid against LHP. He showcased that in the NLCS, where he delivered countless times as the Phillies tried that matchup. During the regular season, he hit for an average of .283 and four home runs. That’s not saying Carroll won’t see a RHP. Dane Dunning should make an appearance, and I like Carroll’s chance against him.
