MacKenzie Gore H/L Than 5.5 Strikeouts
The Washington Nationals’ southpaw kicked off his 2025 campaign with a 13-strikeout performance against the Philadelphia Phillies.

That dominant outing gave his numbers an early boost, but things normalized a bit in his next start. Against the Blue Jays, he allowed nine hits, three earned runs, and recorded just five strikeouts.
Now, he faces a ferocious Dodgers offense. Los Angeles has a 23.4% strikeout rate against lefties this season, ranking 16th in the majors.
We’ve got a pitcher whose strikeout prop is likely a bit inflated, taking on a disciplined, high-powered lineup. Let’s take advantage of the elevated number—especially with plus money being offered on the under.
Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Prediction: MacKenzie Gore Lower Than 5.5 Strikeouts
Jake Burger H/L Than 0.5 Bases
Let’s target another plus-money wager to the under—this time, we’re backing Jake Burger to stay under 0.5 bases tonight.
Burger and the Marlins are in Chicago to face the Cubs, and conditions at Wrigley couldn’t be tougher for hitters. Not only is it a chilly day on the North Side, but winds will be blowing in from center field at over 20 mph—making hard contact and deep balls a serious challenge.
On top of that, Burger has had a brutal start to the season, collecting just four hits in 37 plate appearances. He’s slashing a rough .114 at the plate and hasn’t shown many signs of breaking out.
He’ll be facing Justin Steele, whose early numbers look worse than they should due to tough matchups and some oddball starts—including one in Japan and another in Sacramento’s new hitter-friendly park.
It’s shaping up to be a grind-it-out kind of game at the Friendly Confines, but we’ve got an angle to take advantage of the conditions—and we’re getting plus money to do it.
Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Prediction: Jake Burger Lower Than 0.5 Bases
