Since 2021, he has only lost to Khamzat Chimaev and Stephen Thompson.
Like Holland, Della Maddalena is known primarily as a striker. Now 15-2 in his career, Della Maddalena has 11 knockouts and two submission wins to his name. In the UFC, he lands 7.27 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 3.50 behind 69% striking defense. On the mat, Della Maddalena averages just 0.36 takedowns while defending them at 81%. Della Maddalena has fought the weaker competition, which includes a competitive fight against a newcomer last time out.
