It has been a long time since Rafael Fiziev has had to bounce back from a loss. The lightweight dropped his first fight in four years when he was defeated by Justin Gaethje this March. Fiziev won six straight fights dating back to April of 2019 when he was beaten by Magomed Mustafaev. Fiziev is 12-2 in his career and is 8-1 in TKOs. He has submitted one opponent while never succumbing to a submission loss.

Fiziev will headline Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card against Mateusz Gamrot, who is coming off a split decision victory against Jalin Turner. The win, which was also in March, came after Gamrot was defeated by Beneil Dariush in his previous bought. Gamrot has an overall record of 22-2 with seven knockouts and five submissions. He has yet to lose by knockout or submission. Other than his loss to Dariush last year, Gamrot’s only other loss was by split decision to Guram Kutateladze in October of 2020.

Fiziev enters Saturday’s card as a -162 favorite over Gamrot (+136) at DraftKings. The UFC odds for fight props have yet to be released. UFC bettors can look forward to interesting prop lines on this fight, which pits two fighters with very different styles and fight histories. Gamrot’s last three fights have ended in a decision, including a five round decision win over Arman Tsarukyan in June of 2022. On the other hand, prior to Fiziev’s decision loss to Justin Gaethje he won two fights in a row and three out of his last four by knockout. It remains to be seen where the Fiziev-Gamrot odds will land for inside the distance and other UFC prop bets.

The eleven fight card features several other intriguing matchups. Marina Rodriguez (-310) opens as a commanding favorite over Michelle Waterson (+260). The two veteran Strawweights have similar records in the UFC despite the huge gap in their odds. Rodriguez is 16-3 but has lost her last two bouts. Waterson is 18-11 but is coming off three straight losses. Both fighters will be pushing to get out of the loss column and notch a win for their record.

Jakob Malkoun (-485) is the heaviest favorite on the UFC odds board. He takes on Cody Brundage (+370) in a Light Heavyweight battle. Despite being in a higher weight class, Brundage is known to have some wrestling ability, which could be on display if he can handle the blows from Malkoun. Nevertheless, the odds are quite lopsided in Malkoun’s direction. UFC odds on fight props are likely to favor Malkoun to win inside the distance.

After Malkoun and Rodriguez, several fights on the card rate to be close battles. Six fights have favorites under -200, indicating that UFC fans could be treated to some upsets on Saturday. OddsShopper will continue to cover the Fiziev-Gamrot UFC Fight Night odds, plus analysis of every fight heading into Saturday’s card.
