Nobody was surprised to see Cory Sandhagen’s dominant victory over Rob Font on Saturday. The lopsided UFC odds in favor of Sandhagen made him a clear favorite in the public’s eyes going into the bout. The UFC returns with another Fight Night card this Saturday and this time the Main Event odds are much closer. Let’s take a look at the UFC Fight Night odds and the Luque–dos Anjos odds as betting lines open at multiple sportsbooks.

Saturday’s card is in the books and UFC bettors can already start looking at next Saturday’s Fight Night odds. DraftKings and other U.S. outlets have already released lines for several of the fights including Vincente Luque-Rafael dos Anjos odds for the Main Event. Some matches on the card have only been lined at offshore books like Pinnacle, but will certainly be out at continental U.S. sportsbooks shortly.
Like last week’s card, this week’s Fight Night odds are close, up and down the card. Only two fight come in over -300, which are Joshua Fremd (-350) vs. Jamie Pickett (+250) and Marcus McGhee (-329) vs. JP Buys. No other fight has an underdog at more than 2.5:1 to win. Last week’s UFC odds were similarly close, with the only huge favorites coming in the Sandhagen-Font Main Event and between Tatiana Suarez and Jessica Andrade. Both fight outcomes supported the wide margin, but this week’s Main Event, and card as a whole, could be more close.
dos Anjos is getting the slight edge in the early going of this betting market. He enters the fight as a small -130 favorite over Luque (+110). The virtual “Pick Em” has yet to be lined for fight props, but UFC bettors can expect interesting numbers given the recent results of these fighters. Nearly 2/3 of Luque’s fights throughout his career have ended inside the distance, including five of his last six. On the other hand, dos Anjos is not known as a finisher. The 38 year-old has seen about 40% of his fights end inside the distance although that does include his last two.
Luque enters Saturday’s card with a 21-9-1 overall record. He has 11 knockouts and one knockout defeat. Luque has also won eight fights by submission, while dropping two. dos Anjos has 46 fights to his name. He has five knockouts compared to three knockout losses. However, dos Anjos has submitted eleven opponents in his career while only tapping out once. The history, tape and fight numbers suggest that this could be one played out on the feat, with the most liquid UFC prop markets going the way of significant strike numbers, knockout odds and ITD odds.
