Favorites | Focused Health 250 Odds
Kyle Larson (+250) and Ty Gibbs (+350) will dip down from the Cup Series for this Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at the Circuit of the Americas. They’re only rivaled by A.J. Allmendinger (+310), who has two wins and one runner-up finish in three starts at this track.
Last year, Allmendinger won, beating out William Byron (P2) and Ty Gibbs (P3) to take the checkered flag. Larson will drive the No. 17 Chevrolet that Byron was piloting in that event, so it makes sense to see these three as teh heavy favorites.
Contenders | Focused Health 250 Odds
Behind the top three, Shane Van Gisbergen (+500) stands alone in a tier between the favorites and the rest of the field. SVG won his first-ever NASCAR Cup Series race back at the Chicago Street Course last year, so he should contend for the win this Saturday, too.
Sam Mayer (+1200), who won the final two road course races in the Xfinity Series, Sheldon Creed (+1600), Justin Allgaier (+1800) and Cole Custer (+1800) round out the list of drivers with odds shorter than +2500. Road-course star Parker Kligerman (+2500) and Austin Hill (+2500) are the only other drivers with odds shorter than +3500.

Focused Health 250 Bet #1: Chandler Smith or Jesse Love? | NASCAR Xfinity Series
Caesars has some weird (and, in my opinion, inefficient) matchup markets available for Saturday’s Focused Health 250. Chandler Smith, who has several Truck Series seasons and one Xfinity Series season under his belt, is a +110 underdog to Jesse Love, who is yet to complete a full season in the top three series of NASCAR. He hasn’t even made a start on a road course yet! Further, Smith is now driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, which gives him an equipment advantage over Love.
Love was respectable when asked to turn right and left in ARCA, but it’s not like these tracks are a specialty. Love made four starts on road courses in ARCA, scoring only one win in dominant Venturini Motorsports equipment. He finished fifth and fourth at Mid-Ohio and third and first at Watkins Glen. Those may seem like impressive results, but they aren’t for his equipment quality — Love won 10 of 20 ARCA races last season.
Chandler Smith isn’t the best road racer — but he is competent. In the Truck Series, Smith scored two top-5s, three top-10s and four top-15s over six starts at road courses. Last season, he tallied three top-10s and six top-15s in eight starts at road courses. His only bad results, a P37 at Road America and a P34 at the Indy Road Course, were due to accidents or mechanical failures. With him trading in the plus money to finish ahead of one driver, I’m backing Smith for Saturday’s race.

Focused Health 250 Bet #2: Parker Kligerman or Austin Hill? | NASCAR Xfinity Series
Matchups are the name of the game this week as we’re looking to get action on another one, this time for two Richard Childress Racing-aligned drivers, Parker Kligerman and Austin Hill. There isn’t much of an equipment advantage here, but Hill does get the most funding and support of all RCR-aligned drivers and is a slight favorite. Who cares? We’re backing Kligerman as a dog.
Kligerman has built an impressive resume at road courses. In the Truck Series, he took an underfunded Henderson Motorsports No. 75 Chevrolet to victory lane at Mid-Ohio in 2022. Last year, he tallied three top-5s, six top-10s and seven top-15s across eight starts at road courses.
Hill is no slouch. He tallied four top-5s, seven top-10s and eight top-15s through that span, but Kligerman routinely beat him at permanent road courses like COTA. Kligerman bested Hill at COTA, Sonoma, Road America and Watkins Glen (and the Charlotte Roval, too), losing to him only at Chicago Street, the Indy Road Course and Portland.
With Kligerman going 5-3 versus Hil at all road course and 4-1 at permanent road courses, getting him at odds of -105 to beat Hill again is a great deal. I sprinkled on him to win outright (+3000) and score another top-5 (+350) as well.
