Anthony Edwards Injury Update: Is Minnesota’s Star Playing Tuesday?
Anthony Edwards Injury Update | Tuesday, March 19
Sometimes big plays come back to haunt you. Anthony Edwards dunked on John Collins so hard last night that he sent Collins into the concussion protocol. But Edwards dislocated his finger in the process, and although that didn’t lead him to get pulled from Monday’s game, it may affect his status tonight.
Dislocated fingers aren’t the end of the world — Edwards kept scoring following the injury, after all, but late-season injuries are nothing to mess with. Any kind of worse, subsequent injury to Edwards’ finger could seriously derail Minnesota’s postseason aspirations.
The Timberwolves were trading as 5-point underdogs as of the conclusion of last night’s game. Their disadvantage reached the 7-point mark by this morning, and, after the recent Anthony Edwards injury news, the spread has reached the 8-point mark in some spots.
Edwards and Gobert are the only Timberwolves available on the NBA player prop markets, so it’s clear the books are taking this one seriously.

Is Anthony Edwards Playing on Tuesday? | Nuggets-Timberwolves Prediction
So is Anthony Edwards playing on Tuesday? I’m not sure. His official injury designation is for the finger injury, which isn’t what had been keeping him as questionable on recent injury reports. The lack of open player prop markets for his teammates is a sign we should take his injury designation more seriously.
Ultimately, even if Edwards plays, I expect him to be much less effective than usual. His points average (26.6) already dips slightly when he plays without rest (25.7). With him playing with an injured finger and no rest, it’s hard to see him eclipsing the 28.5-point mark. I bought him to stay under that threshold for odds of -105 this morning, but it’s now trading at worse prices elsewhere — but you can still find the -110 at BetMGM. If Edwards plays, this bet should be a safe one.
I also added today’s boost at Hard Rock to my card. According to their website, they boosted Denver’s moneyline to -180 from -275 (always take the initial odds with a grain of salt). However, the same bet is now trading for -325 at their book and -305 at DraftKings. I’m not usually a huge fan of boosts like that one, but it’s too good of a deal to pass up today.
Nuggets-Timberwolves Prediction: Anthony Edwards Under 28.5 Points -110 at BetMGM
