Best Cavaliers-Pacers NBA Player Prop | Myles Turner

Myles Turner Prop O/U 1.5 3-Pointers

Indiana’s star center, Myles Turner, just re-signed with the Pacers on a two-year, $60 million contract. Turner will face off against a tough Cleveland frontcourt that features Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, two elite interior defenders, on Sunday. However, Turner and sharpshooting centers like him have found an edge against Cleveland’s defense from beyond the arc.

Cleveland hasn’t been able to limit opposing bigs from the perimeter. The Cavaliers have allowed the most 3-pointers per game to power forwards (2.9) and the third-most to centers (1.2). Turner shot 2-for-4 and 2-for-5 from beyond the arc in his two previous meetings with the Cavaliers this season, slightly above his season average (1.6). He has also made at least a pair of triples in seven of his last 10 games.

It makes sense that the Cavaliers would struggle against big men who can shoot. Their starting center, Jarrett Allen, isn’t very switchable. While power forward Evan Mobley can defend the perimeter, he isn’t often lined up against opposing centers. Their defensive strategy can leave — and has left — opposing big men open in transition or off simple screen plays.

Turner has made a pair of triples in his last five matchups with Allen, a trend that dates all the way back to Allen’s time with the Nets. Bettors eager to exploit Turner’s recent success against Allen should do so at Caesars Sportsbook. The book has set the price all the way up at +110, but this NBA player prop should close much closer to even. Readers yet to register at Caesars can secure a no-sweat first bet worth up to $1,250!
