The veteran big man should benefit from a soft matchup against the Hornets. Charlotte has allowed the most 3-pointers per game to opposing centers this year (1.2). Although they rank 11th-best over the last seven games (0.5), much of that falls on their recent opponents. Lopez shot 3-for-5 from deep against the Hornets in their first meeting and 1-for-3 in the second. Two other factors should benefit Lopez. First, the Hornets have struggled mightily against effective corner shooters. They have allowed the fourth-most corner 3s per game (3.9) on the second-highest shooting percentage (42.4%). Lopez makes the second-most corner 3s per game for Milwaukee (0.5) and should draw some of the volume that Bobby Portis would have gotten from that part of the floor.
