Ball just scored 33 points against the Orlando Magic on Sunday and has had plenty of time to get fresh for this contest.
The Hornets have leaned on Ball this year. His usage rate (29.4%) ranks 17th among starters. Although he has averaged only 23.3 points per game on the year, Ball can do two things well that the Wizards struggle to defend. First, the Wizards have allowed the 11th-most points in the paint per game (51.2) and the third-most in February (57.6) Since Ball can get to the rim effectively, as he leads the Wizards in drivers per game (15.2), he should do plenty of damage in the paint.

The Wizards also struggle to defend the top of the key, an area that Ball often shoots from. He leads the Hornets in 3-pointers made (3.2) and attempted (9.1) from above the break. The Wizards just allowed Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell to shoot a combined 8-for-18 from long range on their way to a combined 44 points. Expect Ball to exploit their defense in a similar manner.
