Best NBA Bets for Wednesday | Bradley Beal Bounce Back

Anthony Davis Over 25.5 Points (-125, DraftKings)

Davis has been carrying the load for the Lakers since LeBron James went down around a month ago. Davis has a 31.4% usage rate, and that number drops to 27% when he’s playing alongside D’Angelo Russell. The Lakers face the Suns, who will be without Deandre Ayton. That means the Suns will have to rely on Bismack Biyombo and Jock Landale to defend Davis across 48 minutes, or play small and try to double him. Either way, Davis is going to have the edge in a very meaningful game for the Lakers, who currently sit a half game out of the Play-In Tournament. Davis’ points prop is set at 25.5 on DraftKings (-125), where it’s 26.5 (-118) on FanDuel and a lot of other books, which offers value right out of the gate.

Bradley Beal Over 23.5 Points (-118, FanDuel)

Beal had a terrible game against the Magic, but his points prop has been set at 23.5 against the Nuggets. Beal has been excellent with Kyle Kuzma off the floor this season, operating with a 34% usage rate and having scored 30-plus points in five of six games before his previous game. Beal’s prop was set at 26.5 the previous night, but it’s now at 23.5, which is a considerable drop. Even though the Nuggets are a better team than the Magic, Beal’s high usage and big minutes are enough to go back to the well. NBA Bet Pro has him projected for 25.7 points tonight.

Update: Beal downgraded to questionable.

DeMar DeRozan Over 22.5 Points (-115, DraftKings)

DeRozan has been playing well of late, exceeding 22.5 points in five straight games and seven of his last eight. He’s also playing massive minutes right now, logging an average of 39 minutes per game in regulation over that stretch. DeRozan has had a rough month of February but has been firing on all cylinders in March, with a 27% usage rate and 62.2% true shooting. This should be a competitive game against the 76ers after the Bulls just won in double overtime a couple of days back. The Bulls are only 3.5-point home dogs, and there’s a possibility James Harden will not play. Expecting close to 40 minutes again from DeRozan makes sense so long as the game stays close. NBA Bet Pro has him at 26.2 points for tonight.
