Now let’s break down some NBA best bets.

Atlanta Hawks vs. New York Knicks (-7.5)

This is shaping up to be an exciting one with a total hovering around 236.5 to 237.5 and some injury concerns on both sides. For Atlanta, Jalen Johnson (questionable) continues to be a key factor, Josh Hart (questionable) could impact the Knicks rotations significantly.

Here’s where I’m landing: Johnson over 24.5 points + assists (LIKE).

This guy has been a revelation for Atlanta, averaging 19.8 points and 5.5 assists per game. His offensive versatility will be critical against the Knicks’ high-paced, high-powered attack. If Bogdan Bogdanovic ends up sitting, it solidifies Johnson’s minutes and usage even further.

The line for this prop sits at -10 on FanDuel, offering solid value. I’ve backed Johnson at lower numbers before (22.5, 23.5), and even at this slightly higher mark, I’m still in. His ability to contribute in multiple ways offensively makes him a consistent bet in high-paced matchups like this one.

Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets (-2)

This game opened with Golden State as slight underdogs at +2, and that’s where my focus is. The total for this matchup has ticked up slightly to 223.5 in some spots, signaling the potential for some scoring despite defensive prowess on both sides.

Injury news is key here. For Houston, Alperen Sengun is questionable, along with several role players in Cam Whitmore and Jae’Sean Tate. On the Warriors’ side, Andrew Wiggins had a brief injury scare but is expected to suit up, as confirmed by Steve Kerr.

The play here is Warriors +2 at FanDuel (LIKE).

I see this game as closer to a pick’em, and any additional absences for Houston would tilt things further in Golden State’s favor. This is an NBA Cup game, so expect ramped-up minutes for Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. The Warriors’ depth and experience in meaningful games make them a solid pick in this spot.
