Best NBA Bets Today: Warriors-Suns, Kings-Clippers (December 12)

The NBA returns to a sense of normalcy tonight, with a loaded slate following In-Season Tournament action the past two nights. Be it coming off rest or trying to avoid a slump, there’s plenty to base a narrative or two around some action. There’s always some value popping off with larger slates, even if it’s going to a bad team or game. Here are the best NBA bets today.

Best NBA Side: Warriors-Suns

The Golden State Warriors had the fourth worst road record last year and seem to be picking right back up this year. In danger of losing their sixth straight game away from home, the Warriors get a decent break tonight in Phoenix. It comes in the form of no Kevin Durant, as the Suns ruled their star player out with an ankle injury. Golden State hasn’t looked great on the road but the Suns have struggled everywhere as of recent. Their lone win over the past five games came against the hapless Memphis Grizzlies.

This is a perfect spot for the Warriors to swoop in and end their road issues. The team gets a boost with both Chris Paul and Klay Thompson off the injury report and ready to play. The last time the Warriors played on the road against the Suns, Steph Curry was held to just 16 points. That’s not going to happen two games in a row despite the game being played in Phoenix.

OddsShopper found the Warriors at +1.5 at a couple of books, but a difference in the amount of juice per place.

Best NBA Total: Kings-Clippers O/U 236

These two teams combined for 263 points last night in their respective wins. The operative term here being “last night” as it’s the second game in a back to back for both squads. The total is a little inflated due to the Clippers being on a four game tear and the Kings looking for their third straight win. As evident by last night’s performances, these results are coming from an increase in offense. But the Clippers were still winning some games while relying on defense, something they should do once again tonight.

The Kings are still figuring things out after snapping a six-game winning streak. While they’ve looked outright impressive in victories, they struggled much worse on both ends of the floor in losses. They gave up a ridiculous 131 points to the Clippers on November 29th, so expect there to be a better effort on defense. The Kings aren’t winning every track meet and with a team that can struggle to score like the Clippers, it would make sense Sacramento goes a little off script to slow it down. Good thing the total is all the way up to 236. Play the under.

OddsShopper found Under 236 at BetRivers and Unibet.
