The Philadelphia 76ers went into Boston and stole another home game from the Celtics. With this series now headed back to Philadelphia, rookie head coach Joe Mazzulla must find a way to steer his team to a pair of playoff wins just to stay alive. Bettors seeking a viable same-game parlay (SGP) for Thursday’s Celtics-76ers Game 6 should target these lines at FanDuel — we’re honing in on some regression candidates, especially Al Horford. Best Celtics-76ers NBA Same-Game Parlay for Game 6 | May 11
Although the Boston Celtics are on the road, the sportsbooks are still expecting them to win. They slot in as a single-possession favorite for Game 6. We’ll ride with them in Game 6 while fading a key piece of Philadelphia’s rotation: Tyrese Maxey.
Tyrese Maxey Under 19.5 Points
The Philadelphia 76ers somehow got 30 points out of Tyrese Maxey in Game 5. He shot a stunning 6-for-12 from beyond the arc in the upset win despite having shot only 8-for-28 in the four games preceding it. Maxey is still averaging only 19.2 points per game this series and has stayed under this number in six of his nine starts against the Celtics this year, including three single-digit showings in the regular season. Bet on Maxey to regress to the mean in Game 6.
Al Horford Over 1.5 3-Pointers
Do you know who else should regress to the mean? Al Horford, who has shot a brutal 9-for-33 (27.3%) from beyond the arc in this series after converting 44.6% of his 3-pointers in the regular season. Horford shot 12-for-23 (52.2%) against the 76ers in the regular season. The return to the Wells Fargo Center should help Horford, as seven of his nine makes in this series came in Philadelphia.
Marcus Smart 1+ Steal
We’ll toss in a Marcus Smart steal as well. Smart has only three steals to his name this series, all of which came in Game 3, the first road game for the Celtics. But Smart averaged 1.7 steals per game against the Atlanta Hawks and 1.5 steals per game in the regular season. He swiped at least one ball in each of his regular-season starts against the 76ers. Let’s trust him to do that again in a do-or-die Game 6. Smart has notched at least one steal in 71 of his 99 playoff appearances.
Boston Celtics Moneyline
With the Celtics listed as a road favorite for Game 6, we’ll bet on them to win outright. Boston is 19-10 after a loss this season and 25-14 as a road favorite. The 76ers are a solid 4-3 as a road underdog, but I’m undeterred — the Celtics have already stolen one road game this series, and they did it in blowout fashion. This team has the resilience necessary to eke out a win on Thursday.
