Best NBA Lakers-Nuggets Same Game Parlay for Western Conference Finals Game 1 (Fade the Lake Show)

The Los Angeles Lakers have made it to the Western Conference Finals as a play-in team. They join the Miami Heat as the first play-in teams to get this far in the NBA playoffs. Best Lakers-Nuggets NBA Same-Game Parlay for Game 1 | WCF

The Denver Nuggets have an NBA-best record at home (40-7) and an NBA-best record with a rest advantage (17-4). More importantly, the Nuggets have an average margin of victory of 10.3 at home (+3.9 against the spread) and 10.7 with a rest advantage (+3.1 against the spread). Both factors point to them as the sharper side of Game 1, and we’ll back them to open the series with a dominant win as the Lakers adjust to the elevation.

Denver Nuggets -6.5

The Nuggets are only a 5.5-point favorite, so we’re actually teasing this spread up for Game 1. We’ll target the key number of seven, or a three-possession game, as the Nuggets will have every incentive to maintain a lead of at least this many points late in Tuesday’s contest. Denver has won a whopping 40 games by at least this many points, including all but one of their home playoff starts and both of their Game 1s.

LeBron James Under 25.5 Points

If we’re fading the Lakers, that means we’re fading their superstars. Head coach Darvin Ham has shown a willingness to pull his stars from the floor in blowout playoff losses. Ham tapped out early in Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors and let James play only 28 minutes. James is only averaging 23.4 points per game in the postseason and has beaten this number just once on the road. He has also beaten this number in just one of his six starts in Ball Arena as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Anthony Davis Under 14.5 Rebounds

We’re also going to fade Davis in the rebounding column. The Denver Nuggets have allowed an NBA-low 48 rebounds per game to their opponents this year. That number drops to 46.9 when they play at home. They have also allowed the sixth-fewest rebounds per game to opposing centers (14.2). Davis’ rebounding prop is still somewhat inflated after his dominant start to the playoffs, but he is averaging only 13.2 rebounds per game in road playoff games and 11 in playoff losses.

Bruce Brown 10+ Points

We’ll wrap this play up by targeting one of Denver’s reserves who stands to benefit from a blowout game script. Brown has seen his usage rate spike since the Bones Hyland trade. Further, he averaged 12.2 points per game at home in the regular season and is averaging 13.7 at home in the postseason. Brown scored exactly 14 points in both of Denver’s previous Game 1 victories and should put together a similar performance on Tuesday. He also went for 10-plus points in each of his regular-season starts against the Lakers.
