Best Nuggets-Heat NBA Finals Same-Game Parlay for Game 3

Well, after the Denver Nuggets dominated in Game 1, the Miami Heat rallied and stole Game 2 on the road. Miami was able to take away Nikola Jokic as a shot creator as the superstar center was forced to shoot 28 times and recorded only four assists. We’re betting on the Nuggets to adjust and find a way to beat Miami’s defensive adjustments in an important road Game 3.

Nikola Jokic Under 30.5 Points

The Heat made Jokic shoot in Game 2, but I doubt they’ll have the same success in Game 3. The Minnesota Timberwolves did something similar in Game 4 of their series by holding Jokic to six assists (but 43 points), and he responded by dishing out 12 (and scoring only 28 points in Game 5). Jokic isn’t a shoot-first player and is averaging only 30.4 points per game in the postseason. He has beaten this number in only six of his 17 playoff starts this year.

Michael Porter Jr. Over 14.5 Points

If Jokic takes a step back on offense, Michael Porter Jr. is the likeliest member of the Denver Nuggets to take a step up. MPJ has shot an atrocious 7-for-24 (29.2%) this series, but 11 of those 24 shots were uncontested. He also entered this series shooting 45.5% from the field in the postseason, so some positive regression is likely headed his way shortly. The shot volume has been there, so I’m confident MPJ can bounce back.

Kevin Love 1+ 3-Pointer

Kevin Love re-entered Miami’s rotation before Game 2. He proceeded to shoot 2-for-6 from beyond the arc in the win. Love has played in 17 of Miami’s playoff games and has made at least one 3-pointer in 12 of them (70.5%). He made 21 regular-season appearances and recorded a 3-pointer in 17 of them (80.9%). Let’s trust him to do at least the bare minimum at home this evening.

Denver Nuggets Moneyline

The Nuggets weren’t a great road team this season, but the market has overcorrected following their Game 2 loss. Denver lost because of 3-point variance more than anything; the Nuggets shot 39.3% from beyond the arc while the Heat shot 48.6%. Denver has gone 37.9% from beyond the arc this year while Miami has gone 35.2%. Regression favors Denver in a pivotal Game 3.
