Leg 1: Detroit Pistons-Cleveland Cavaliers
I’m not often laying this number of points at home, but right now, the Cavaliers are laying 12 and a half against the Pistons. With the trade deadline coming up, Detroit may be making some moves, so it’s important to keep an eye on that. Cleveland is the much better basketball team right now, and they’ve been dominant at home, even with a stretch of disappointment. The Pistons don’t seem to match up well with Cleveland, and a convincing win like this for the Cavaliers seems likely given that Detroit just lost by 12 to Boston at home. Although Cleveland has won three straight games, it still isn’t back to its dominant form, but a win like this could put the Cavs on the right track.

Leg 2: Sacramento Kings-Houston Rockets
It’s not often that you get a chance to avenge a loss, and that’s what I’m hoping for with the Rockets-Kings game. The Rockets are a young team with a lot of talent, but they can make mistakes and their youth can show. However, the Kings have dominated the Rockets in their previous matchups and just recently beat them by 20. Although the Kings haven’t left Houston since their last game, I think the Rockets will come out fired up and ready to play. The spread for the Rockets is +8.5, which is a big number, but this is the only opportunity all year to take Houston at that spread.

Leg 3: Dallas Mavericks-Los Angeles Clippers
I am really excited for this upcoming Mavericks-Clippers game. Kyrie Irving is in the house, and with LeBron James having had his night, it’s Irving’s turn to shine. This bet is for the over 222.5, and with Irving in the game, it could go either way, whether he plays 20 minutes or 50 minutes. Despite Luka Doncic being absent, we’ve seen the Mavericks pick up their scoring game, and I don’t think we’re going to see an ultra defensive effort from these two teams who have been playing great defense.
With both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard clicking in the Clippers offense, I don’t think they necessarily need to score 30 apiece, but their offense is definitely on point. The Clippers have won two straight and 8 of 10, so they’ve definitely figured out this bigger stretch. I love that the Mavericks are in town because both teams have the connotation of strong defense, but I love both squads. Whether it’s the filling of Doncic’s void or the star power of Los Angeles and Irving getting to a lot of points tonight, I’m definitely betting on the over 222.5
