Let’s begin with our Rudy Gobert pick. I touched on this bet in today’s NBA player prop article, and the number has already moved somewhat. Still, we’re beating the market by playing this at Caesars. Gobert’s rebounding prop is trading for only -117 over there but is a whopping -135 at Pinnacle, a sharp book.
Gobert is averaging a steady 12.9 rebounds per game this year, and the absence of teammate Karl-Anthony Towns has only increased his production. However, tonight’s matchup with Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets is a tough one.
Since joining the T-Wolves, Gobert has made three regular-season starts versus Jokic. He failed to tally 14 rebounds, let alone 13, in any of those games, averaging a paltry seven per game. Gobert has gone for 14-plus boards in only five of his 22 regular-season starts against Jokic.
Leg #2: Vasilije Micic u6.5 AST
The Charlotte Hornets will face the Orlando Magic tonight. The Magic don’t give up many assists — they actually lead the NBA with the fewest assists allowed per contest (23.9), and their last three games have seen them allow even fewer (22.7).
Vasilije Micic is likely to start tonight, and, through eight starts, he is averaging 5.6 assists per game. He surpassed the seven-assist mark in only three of those starts, and this matchup will be a tough spot for him.
The -139 at Caesars may seem steep, but it’s also much better than what other books are offering. This bet is trading for a whopping -167 at Pinnacle, so we’re scoring a majorly +EV bet with the current number.
