I wrote about this bet in today’s NBA player props column, but we’re playing the under for Tyrese Haliburton on the rebounding market. He just came down with six boards in Game 2 after getting held to just two in Game 1, and even though his Pacers are 7.5-point home favorites, I’m taking the model’s advice by fading him tonight.
Haliburton is averaging 5.4 rebounds per game in the postseason, which is a hair better than his total (4.5), but he averaged only 3.9 in the regular season. Haliburton did even less rebounding at home (3.6), going over the 4.5 in just one of three regular-season meetings with New York.
The -125 at bet365 is the best deal you’re going to get for this prop now, too — the -122 at DraftKings we hit in today’s prop column is now gone, and the public books are now taking action on this one between -128 and -150. Pinnacle, a sharp sportsbook, has it at -154.
Leg #2: Kyle Anderson u3.5 PTS
Let’s flip to the Timberwolves game. Kyle Anderson just put together a solid Game 2 as a scorer with Rudy Gobert out, racking up six points in 26 minutes. That’s a playoff high for Anderson in both columns.
In Game 1 of this series, Anderson scored only two points and saw only 12 minutes of action. Against the Suns, he averaged 2.7 points per game, clearing the over once with a four-point game.
We’re getting this bet for odds of +115 at bet365, which is better than the range of +110 to -104 at which most public books are taking action on this one for.
