Best NBA Player Props for Celtics-76ers Game 3 (Can Jaylen Brown Maintain This Pace?)

The Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers will face off in an intriguing Game 3. The 76ers already stole a home game from the Celtics, but their awful Game 2 showing has led the odds for this series to flip back in Boston’s favor. Bettors searching for value on the player prop markets for Game 3 should target Jaylen Brown and Al Horford. Looking for more Celtics-76ers player props? Celtics-76ers Game 3 NBA Player Prop | Al Horford

Al Horford O/U 1.5 3-Pointers

The Boston Celtics shot efficiently through the first two games. The lone exception to that rule has been veteran Al Horford. Horford shot a miserable 2-for-12 from beyond the arc across Games 1 and 2. While I’m mostly keying in on player prop under for this series, I can’t resist a buy-low spot for Horford’s perimeter shooting.

The Philadelphia 76ers looked sloppy in the first game back for Joel Embiid. They allowed the Celtics to take plenty of open looks, including Horford, who just couldn’t convert. He took a whopping eight 3-pointers in Game 2, only one of which fell. But because Horford shot 44.6% from deep in the regular season, I’m chalking up his Game 2 struggles as an outlier.

Horford faced the 76ers three times in the regular season. He averaged 3.3 makes on 7.7 attempts per game. The books have now cut the total for his 3-pointers to a lowly 1.5, and we can buy the over at only -150 via FanDuel Sportsbook. Pinnacle, a sharp sportsbook, has the over priced all the way down at -165. Let’s lock this play in at FanDuel before the value disappears. Celtics-76ers Game 3 NBA Player Prop | Jaylen Brown

Jaylen Brown O/U 25.5 Points

No member of the Boston Celtics stands to regress more in Game 3 than Jaylen Brown. The Celtics have averaged only 93 possessions per game this series, well below what they averaged in the regular season (99.2), which has limited their scorers’ chances of going off. To this point, Brown has remained mostly unaffected — he scored 23 in Game 1 and 25 in Game 2, both solid showings.

However, Brown has achieved his scoring output this series on an unsustainable 63% shooting percentage from the floor and 60% from beyond the arc. Brown averaged only 49.1% from the floor and 33.5% from beyond the arc in the regular season, well below his rates for this series. He also converted 48.1% of his shots and 30% of his 3-pointers against the 76ers in the regular season.

Yet because Brown has averaged 24 points per game this series, the books feel comfortable hanging the 25.5. Brown’s regular-season splits reveal that he shoots a bit better on the road than at home, but his 49.4% conversion rate and 38.1% 3-point conversion rate don’t justify this number. The under is priced at only -113 on FanDuel but -125 at Pinnacle.
