The Los Angeles Clippers stole the show and scored an upset win in Game 1. Despite shooting 3-for-19, Russell Westbrook impressed with some clutch hustle plays. If you’re looking for a Clippers-Suns bet, the search is over — Caesars and FanDuel have left too much value on the Devin Booker and Russell Westbrook player prop markets for Game 2. Clippers-Suns Game 2 NBA Player Prop | Devin Booker
Devin Booker O/U 4.5 Assists
Phoenix’s head coach, Monty Williams, emphasized getting his offense back in a rhythm in Game 2. He felt the team struggled to play point-five basketball at points. The Game 1 loss stemmed from a possession disparity — the Los Angeles Clippers took 11 more shots than the Suns — caused by poor rebounding and sloppy passing. The Suns nabbed just six offensive boards while the Clippers nabbed 15. Phoenix may have won the turnover battle, but Devin Booker accounted for half the team’s 10 turnovers.
I would normally bet on Deandre Ayton to bounce back in this spot, but because Williams seemingly tried to bait Tyronn Lue into going small late — and because we’ve seen Ayton benched in the playoffs before — I’m hesitant to trust him on the player prop markets. Instead, I think backing Booker to bounce back in the assist column is sharp. Booker dished out only three assists despite passing 30 times. In contrast, Kevin Durant recorded 11 assists on 45 passes, and Chris Paul recorded 10 on 50.
In eight regular-season games with Durant and Paul, Booker averaged a steady 6.9 assists per game. He recorded at least five assists in all but one of those games, a blowout win over the San Antonio Spurs in which he played only 33 minutes. Booker saw the floor for 43 minutes on Sunday, and a similar workload is likely on tap for him come Tuesday.
We can still find the over priced at -154 via Caesars Sportsbook. The implied odds of that line (60.3%) are well below Booker’s raw hit rate when playing alongside Durant in both the regular season and postseason (77.7%). That number could be noise, but we’re also getting the over at a discount relative to where Pinnacle, a sharp book, has it posted (62.9%). Readers yet to register at Caesars can get their first bet on the house for up to $1,250! Let’s wager enough to profit a half unit.

Clippers-Suns Game 2 NBA Player Prop | Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook O/U 16.5 Points
The Clippers got a lot of hustle out of Russell Westbrook on Sunday, but he also shot a putrid 3-for-19 from the floor. He got to the charity stripe twice and went 2-for-3 from the line, giving him just nine total points. That marked his second-worst performance in the points column since the injury to Paul George. Before Sunday’s game, he had been averaging 19.2 points and 1.9 3-pointers per game without him.
Let’s bet on Westbrook to bounce back as a scorer. The Clippers trusted him too much down the stretch for him to stay under this number again. Westbrook averaged 15.8 points per game with the Clippers on 48.9% from the field and 35.6% from the perimeter in the regular season. His opponent, the Phoenix Suns, have allowed the second-most points per game to point guards through the last 30 (27.4) contests and the most through the last 15 (28.9).
Westbrook also has a negative defender, Devin Booker, tasked with defending him. Booker owns a defensive RAPTOR rating of -0.9 this year, so despite his solid play against Westbrook in Game 1, some regression to the mean is likely in the cards. Westbrook averaged 19.8 points per game against Booker with the Los Angeles Lakers and recorded 20-plus points three times. He is also averaging 17.6 points per game in the playoffs since leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder at the end of 2019.
Westbrook isn’t the scorer he once was, but he should bounce back in a big way come Tuesday. The Phoenix Suns have a long list of things to work on heading into Game 2, and that could distract them from doing the things that held Westbrook to just 15.7% from the field. The last time Westbrook shot that poorly in a playoff game, he bounced back with 24 points in his next outing.
