Best NBA Player Props for Suns-Nuggets Game 2 (May 1)

The Denver Nuggets made a statement with their commanding Game 1 win over the Phoenix Suns. Kevin Durant and company will look to bounce back in Game 2 — the Suns will have to win at least one road game to advance, can they do so tonight? Bettors looking for value on the player prop markets for tonight’s Game 2 should target Deandre Ayton and Jamal Murray. Want for more Suns-Nuggets player props? Suns-Nuggets Game 2 NBA Player Prop | Deandre Ayton

Deandre Ayton O/U 9.5 Rebounds

Phoenix’s Deandre Ayton promised more physicality in Game 2 after the Nuggets held him to only seven rebounds on nine rebound chances in Game 1. While that promise may put him in danger of fouling out, I’d rather get action on his rebounding prop at a discount. Ayton averaged 10 rebounds per game in the regular season and is averaging 11.3 per game against Jokic in both the playoffs and the regular season.

Although the Suns lacked physicality in Game 1, some of the rebounding disparity came down to luck. The Nuggets had 80 rebounding chances to Pheonix’s 62, far broader than the final rebounding split of 49 to 38. Should Monty Williams’ adjustments help Phoenix keep up with Denver, allowing the starters to play more minutes, Ayton will get plenty of opportunities on the glass.

Let’s lock in this over via FanDuel Sportsbook. Bettors can currently buy it at -104 (50.9%), far better than the -113 (53%) available at Pinnacle, a sharp book. Readers yet to register at FanDuel can score a whopping $150 in bonus bets after placing just a $5 wager! This fantastic special offer expires on May 15, so make sure to take advantage of it fast!

Suns-Nuggets Game 2 NBA Player Prop | Jamal Murray

Jamal Murray O/U 37.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (PRA)

Denver’s Jamal Murray stuffed the stat sheet in Game 1. He racked up a combined 48 PRA en route to an easy win for the Denver Nuggets. He contributed in all three columns with 34 points, nine assists and five rebounds. That means Game 2 presents bettors with a great opportunity to sell high on the young star.

The numbers just don’t support a total this high. Murray averaged 30.2 PRA per game in the regular season and 30 against the Suns. Even during his impressive playoff run in the NBA bubble, Murray averaged only 37.9 PRA per game. The 40.6 he has averaged to this point in the playoffs is unsustainable, especially in a series against a head coach who can actually make meaningful defensive adjustments.

Let’s fade Murray at FanDuel. That book has opened the bidding for Murray’s PRA at 37.5 with the under set to -120 (54.5%), but Pinnacle, a sharp book, has the total set to 36.5 with the under set to -126 (55.8%). It’s rare that you’ll find the market off by this much on any player prop, so let’s lock the under in via FanDuel before the market adjusts.
