Best NBA Player Props: Stephen Curry Keeps Going Over Against Thunder (April 4)

The NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournaments have concluded, so the NBA will dominate the basketball arena for the rest of the season. A few teams have already punched their playoff tickets, but others, including the Golden State Warriors, have not. Bettors can find plenty of value on tonight’s NBA player prop markets. The below plays for Thunder-Warriors and Celtics-76ers stand out. FanDuel and DraftKings have left too much value on the Stephen Curry and P.J. Tucker player prop markets, respectively. Best Thunder-Warriors NBA Player Prop Tonight | Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry O/U 29.5 Points

The Golden State Warriors find themselves in a precarious spot. At 41-38, they rank sixth in the Western Conference and are just a half-game above the Los Angeles Lakers. They’re tied with the Los Angeles Clippers for the fifth seed, so a win tonight would help them establish a stabler foothold in the playoff race.

Stephen Curry just shot an abysmal 8-for-28 against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday in an ugly two-point road loss. He scored only 21 points. The Warriors have often struggled on the road this season, and Curry is no exception — he shoots 5% worse from 3-point range away from San Francisco. However, each of the three times Curry has shot worse than 35% from the floor this season, he responded by smashing for 30-plus points in his next outing.

Curry has a Swiss-cheese home matchup tonight. He also barely needs to beat his season average to cash the over — he is averaging 29.5 points per game this year and has gone for 30-plus in 27 of his 53 starts (50.9%). Curry has gone for 40 and 38 against the Thunder already this year. Notably, both of those games were on the road.

If Curry can explode for such massive showings against the Thunder on the road, expect him to rumble for similarly impressive numbers against them at home. With the Warriors in a must-win spot, let’s buy the over at -105 via FanDuel Sportsbook. Readers yet to register at FanDuel can score a no-sweat first bet worth up to $1,000!

Best Celtics-76ers NBA Player Prop Tonight | P.J. Tucker

P.J. Tucker O/U 0.5 3-Pointers

Most bettors will want action on Joel Embiid or Jayson Tatum, but getting some exposure to one of Philadelphia’s role players, P.J. Tucker, is the smarter move. The 76ers brought Tucker on board to play defense and shoot corner 3’s, and that’s all the 37-year-old veteran has done. He is averaging 0.7 3-pointers per game on 1.8 attempts, almost all of which have come from the corner.

The 76ers have trusted Tucker against their biggest rivals. Tucker is averaging 0.26 more 3-pointers per game against Eastern Conference opponents than Western Conference foes. He is also averaging 1.1 3-pointers per game against Atlantic Division teams, including the Boston Celtics, against whom he has averaged 1.3 3-pointers per game this year. After shooting 0-for-2 from beyond the arc against them in October, he shot 2-for-3 against them in early February and 2-for-4 later that month.

With a chance to lock up a top-two seed, the Celtics should focus on shutting down Philadelphia’s primary weapons in Embiid and James Harden. That should leave Tucker open in the corner enough for him to make a single triple. Tucker has made at least one 3-pointer in each of his home starts against the Celtics since 2020, a streak that spans starts he made for the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers.
