NBA Same Game Parlay: BetMGM Parlay With Myles Turner & More
Leg #1: Obi Toppin Under 3.5 Rebounds
We’re not just loading up a single-game parlay here, we’re going with the single-team parlay — an STP, if you will. And whether you’re a grunge fan or you enjoy a nice sticky toffee pudding, the Pacers are the route to make some good money with a two-leg BetMGM parlay today.
For the first leg, the best prop on the board is Obi Toppin under 3.5 rebounds at +120. On its own, this prop is 4.5% +EV thanks to some strong odds that help counter its sub-50% expected win rate. But 48% isn’t too far off 50%, so we’ll take it at +120.
That 3.5 line is low given Toppin averaged almost four a game during the regular season, plus he has grabbed four-plus in six of nine Pacers playoff games. The line is reacting instead to Toppin’s outputs of three and one board in the last couple games, which both saw him play around his benchmark of 19 minutes.
Toppin has been between 16 and 25 minutes in all but one postseason game, so the under on this low line is not a matter of Toppin’s playing time. Rather, it’s about the Knicks and their incredibly short rotation snatching up all the boards — mostly Josh Hart.
Hart, Precious Achiuwa and Isaiah Hartenstein combined for 32 rebounds in both Game 2 and Game 3, while Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam have been the only Pacers with high rebound numbers.
But again, as with all of our picks, we’re playing the market and the odds — BetMGM is killing it in that regard, and we’re riding that for Leg 1 of a parlay.
Leg #2: Myles Turner Under 27.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Speaking of Turner, we’re rolling under on him too despite some reasonable evidence pointing to the over on his points + rebounds + assists. The main thing has been the scoring — Turner has six 20-point games this postseason, which makes 28 PRA easy to get to for a center who averages about seven rebounds per game.
You would think so, wouldn’t you?
Well, Turner managed 28 PRA on the dot in Game 1 despite scoring 23 (an over, but a close one), so it’s not a guarantee he’ll get there even with a decent scoring game. Plus, he has a couple of single-digit-point games, and he is not so prolific a rebounder that he can get away with that and still hit 28 PRA.
Now, you could go with a prop that has a higher win rate to finish off this parlay and pair with the good odds on Toppin. However, 55% at -115 is still decent for Turner’s under here — and it’s 3.5% +EV at those odds. Combined with the Toppin prop, we’re pulling an 8% +EV BetMGM parlay in total that has a solid 26% chance of winning at +311 odds.
