Best Pacers-Heat Player Prop: Can Andrew Nembhard Get Hot? (February 8)

The Miami Heat will host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday evening. Although Miami’s defense can lock down teams’ top options, the Heat have struggled against other weapons, especially on the wing. Bettors looking for an angle on the markets for Wednesday’s Pacers-Heat game should tail this NBA player prop at Caesars — the book has left a bit much value on the Andrew Nembhard player prop markets. Best Pacers-Heat NBA Player Prop | Andrew Nembhard

Andrew Nembhard Prop O/U 1.5 3-Pointers

The Indiana Pacers took Andrew Nembhard with the first pick in the second round this year, but the rookie has played well enough to stick in their starting lineup in his first season. Nembhard has averaged 1.3 3-pointers per game this year and has gone for a pair of triples in 14 of his 48 appearances. While that hit rate of 29.2% may raise some red flags, note that he hit the over on this prop in both of his matchups against the Heat.

Miami’s defense is to blame for Nembhard’s success. The Heat focus on locking down a team’s top scoring options, which can often leave ancillary weapons like Nembhard open from the perimeter. Shooting guards have proven especially problematic for Miami, as the Heat have allowed the third-most 3-pointers per game to the position (3.7) and the second-most corner 3’s per game (4.3) on the year.

Nembhard can easily get overlooked by opposing defenses, especially since the Pacers will have Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Myles Turner on the floor with him. Nembard is Indiana’s fourth or fifth-ranked option, depending on how you view Aaron Nesmith. Although that means Nembhard doesn’t draw a ton of volume, he should get the quality looks necessary to cash the over.

Caesars Sportsbook opened this line at too good of a price to pass up. Nembhard need only do what he’s done in both of his starts against the Heat to cash the over, which has an implied probability of 37.7%. Bettors should wager enough to profit just over a full unit on this market. Those who are yet to register at Caesars can score a no-sweat first bet worth up to $1,250!
