PrizePicks NBA Player Predictions: Chet Holmgren & More

Chet Holmgren

Chet Holmgren is expected to score more than 26.5 points, rebounds, and assists. This seems straightforward, especially with OKC and Washington both playing back-to-back games. The game, tipping off at 8:00, is with the Washington Wizards, known for their poor defense and fast pace.

This sets up an excellent opportunity for OKC, especially since they’re playing at home. They should have no problems against Washington. Chet, in particular, should have a great day. Marvin Bagley, though a decent player, is not particularly strong defensively. This should allow Chet to exploit his matchup with Bagley and score as much as he wants.

The only potential issue is that Chet’s significant contributions often come from blocks, which won’t help us in this scenario. However, I’m not overly concerned about this. Facing the Washington Wizards should be advantageous. Therefore, I anticipate that Chet will score more than 26.5 points, rebounds, and assists.

Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson is predicted to score less than 35.5 points, rebounds, and assists in the upcoming game against the Miami Heat in New Orleans. With the Pelicans on a back-to-back schedule, the assumption for this line is the potential absence of Brandon Ingram, who missed yesterday’s game due to illness.

However, if Ingram is confirmed to play, I expect the line to decrease. Considering that this is also a back-to-back game for Zion, I don’t foresee him performing exceptionally well. Especially against a Miami Heat team that is not known for a fast-paced play-style, this is not an ideal game environment for Zion.

I’ve projected him to score 31.9 points, rebounds, and assists, given 33 minutes of playtime. That is an optimistic estimate for Zion Williamson tonight, and it still falls short of the line. We hope that Brandon Ingram will not play, but even if he does, we still have a chance against the Heat. If he’s in, we’re set to make a significant return with this prediction.
